政治过程研究强调用一种动态的方法对政治体系与制度进行观察、分析。它的兴起与新的研究方法的出现分不开,而促使其走向繁荣的则是政治生活的开放性。自20世纪以来,随着运用动态过程观进行现实政治分析,政治学理论形成了若干影响较大的流派,如公共选择理论、政治沟通理论、政治系统理论、政治决策理论等。另外,最容易唤起人们对政治过程注意的政治活动领域,如利益集团、政党参与政治和选举过程,也受到人们的广泛关注。这些都构成对政治过程展开分析的主要理论视角。

Political process study stresses the use of a dynamic method to make observations and analysis of the political system.What led to its popularity was the openness of the political life.Since the 20th century,some major schools of study in this respect have taken shape such as public choice theory,political communication theory,political system theory and political decision-making theory.Some other issues like benefit group,political party involving in politics and the election process have attracted great attention and constitute major theoretical approaches in the analysis of political process.
